About
Food has been used throughout history to bring people together, to nourish not only our bodies, but our souls too! It's a catalyst for feelings of nostalgia, comfort and community within us.
However, people are gradually becoming more and more aware of the need to consume consciously. New Zealand currently ranks fifth in the world for veganism, so we know Kiwis care - but we also know that people truly love the food they grew up with, and crave familiarity even as they try to eat healthier, more sustainable options.
With statistics showing that interest in a plant based lifestyle is increasing for many reasons, “The Lophie Project” was created by friends Lib and Sophie, after they met while working at a vegan cafe. TLP provides a unique experience for our community, striving to make classic and nostalgic treats entirely plant based. TLP feel passionately that the best food has a low impact on our planet, without any compromise on flavour or authenticity, and so they've crafted a menu of classic favourites to be enjoyed by everyone, vegan and non-vegan alike.
These days you'll find Lib at markets and popups around Auckland (most regularly at The Shed Collective) as well as catering for a variety of events - get in touch below if you have any queries!
